Being the salt and light to the world – Abraham Isac

⁃ Mat 5:13- we should be a flavor / taste to others just like salt
⁃ Mat 5:14- light of this world
⁃ 2Cor 2:14- a sweet aroma of the knowledge of him in every place

4 areas we can be salt and light of this earth:
(1) the way we speak
⁃ Col 4:5,6 let your speech always be with grace as though seasoned with salt…..
⁃ Eph 4:29 let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth…..
⁃ Phil 2:14,15 do without grumbling or disputing

(2) being blameless and innocent

(3) represent truth
⁃ 1Pet 2:21,22 Jesus committed no sin nor was deceit found in his mouth

⁃ John 8:44 Devil does not know truth, he is a liar and the father of lies

(4) Integrity
⁃ Dan 6:3,4 Daniel’s testimony against people at workplace

⁃ People couldn’t find fault with Daniel and Joseph in their work place
⁃ The conference taught me that when we see the high standard, we don’t try to do anything with our own strength but ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to make it true in our life.

⁃ Our tongues should be set on fire by the Holy Spirit just like in Acts 2 when tongues of fire rested on those gathered together.
⁃ Mark 9:49,50 Have salt in yourself and be at peace with one another

God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble
Acts 7:5 Abraham didn’t give up and persevered in faith. God wants us to inherit the promises with faith and perseverance just like Abraham.

⁃ I strive to make my life straight. I need to open my bottle so the Lord can fill me.
⁃ To be humble is a weakness with me but the Lord will make me strong
⁃ Need to have a clear conscience

The life of Daniel touched my heart when reading the book ‘Through the Bible’ written by Bro Zac. Daniel was a light and a salt to everyone. He was a person who stood for the truth.

1 John 1:5,6 God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. God is light and we should draw closer to him so that we can see the darkness in our life and be transformed as we cleanse ourselves.
I learnt in the conference that when I read the word of God, I want to see the glory of Jesus. If I don’t see His glory, my life will not change.
