Paul commended Philippians saying that “…no church shared with me in the matter of GIVING AND RECEIVING but you alone”. (Philippians 4:15).
Receiving is a necessity at times and a blessing. But, “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). Giving is the character of God which we can seek to pursue.
To receive from another one needs humility, particularly when one is not in special need. An example is the temptation to reject the hospitality offered in love by someone who is caring.
The preciousness of practicing ” giving and receiving ” is great.
