Our commitment to the Lord and his church – Abraham Isac

Abraham Isac

Knowing Jesus as a pearl of great price. There is a cost to pay to follow Jesus but it is worth it. Jesus gives a choice whether to stay with Him or to leave Him, He never forced anyone or coerce anyone to follow Him. Am I willing to pay the cost to follow Jesus? Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in Me. The life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Jesus deserves my everything because He gave up everything for me. 2 Corinthians 5:14,15: The love of Christ compels me. He died for all so that those who live might not live for themselves but for Jesus who died and rose again on our behalf.

Commitment to His Church

Learn to commit ourselves to a local church and not just receiving from different churches and being a wanderer. 2 Corinthians 8:5: They first gave themselves to the will of the Lord and to us by the will of God. Take time to find the best church for you where you can give and take and be committed to that. Hebrews 10:24, 25: Stimulate one another for love and good deeds, not forsaking our assembling together. Let us value the fellowship of the church. Hebrews 11:24-27: The attitude of Moses to suffer ill-treatment with the people of God than enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.

1 Corinthians: Living in the spirit of God or natural man. Am living with clear conscience with God? Have the mind of Christ. Commitment to Jesus and the church. To mean what I say about living for Christ.

Daniel

Love of Christ constrains me. Did I live for myself or I live for Jesus? Not wanting to do my will but Gods will. Then we know whether we love God. John 18:4: Jesus knew everything but still He asked whom do you seek He gave himself willingly. We love because He first loved us.
