Developing concern for others – Abraham Isac

Genesis 40:6,7: Joseph had a concern for others. Isaiah 50:4: The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Proverbs 11:25: The generous man will be prosperous and he who waters will himself be watered. Barnabas name meaning is son of encouragement. Acts 20:35: It is more blessed to give than to receive. 1 Corinthians 14:1: Gifts of the Holy Spirit is primarily to serve others, especially to prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:3: Prophesy is for edification, exhortation, and consolation. 12: Gifts are for edification of the church. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4: God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction and we comfort others with the same comfort. 2 Corinthians 8:1,2: In a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality. Paul speaks more about giving in this chapter. 2 Corinthians 12:15: Being spent and be expended for others.

Jesus had a heart of compassion for others. We need to have a heart of compassion. Listening to others more than speaking. Always seeking to decrease so that God will increase in my life.

Galations 6:1: Having a spirit of gentleness while helping someone else. Philippians 2:1,2: Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 2 Corinthians 2:6: Comforted by the coming of Titus. Ephesians 5:19,20: Speaking to one another with psalms and hymns.
