Acts 20:35: It is more blessed to give than to receive. 1 Corinthians 14:1: Gifts of the Holy Spirit is primarily to serve others, especially to prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:3: Prophesy is for edification, exhortation, and consolation. 12: Gifts are for edification of the church. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4: God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction and we comfort others with the same comfort. 2 Corinthians 8:1,2: In a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality. Paul speaks more about giving in this chapter. 2 Corinthians 12:15: Being spent and be expended for others.

Jesus had a heart of compassion for others. We need to have a heart of compassion. Listening to others more than speaking. Always seeking to decrease so that God will increase in my life.
