Let us run the race with patience – Rajesh Ramaswamy

Let us run with patience the race that is set before us. 1 Samuel 18:8,9: Then Saul became very angry, for this saying displeased him and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?” Saul looked at David with suspicion from that day on. And from that time on Saul kept a close eye on David. Saul was jealous of David. Ephesians 6:12: Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Our competition is not with each other. 1 Corinthians 9:24: Run in such a way that you may win. We need to run the race with patience. Romans 15:5: Be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus. Romans 15:7: Accept one another just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. 1 Timothy 6:11,12: But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. 1 Thessalonians 5:14: We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. abstain from every form of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22,23: Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have a coach in our heavenly Father who will help us to keep the standard. Hebrews 12:10-13: For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble and make straight paths for your feet so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

1 Peter 3:10-12: “The one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. “He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it. “For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

John 4:7-15: Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
