Genesis 39:2-4: The Lord was with Joseph so he became a successful man. The Lord caused all that he did to prosper. Exodus 33:14:-16: My presence shall go with you and I will give you rest. Moses: If your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. I and your people may be distinguished from all other people by God’s presence with us. Psalms 16:11: In your presence there is fullness of joy.

We can learn from the life of Saul. 1 Samuel 16:15: The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord terrorized him.

Three things that led to Saul’s downfall:
1. Taking obedience to God’s word and Gods servants lightly, treating them with contempt.
2. Jealousy in his heart.
3. Crossed the boundary that God has set for him.

Psalms 51:11: Do not cast me away from your presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.
