Ephesians 6:1,2: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother so that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth. Honor is from the heart. Obedience is external.

Hebrews 12:28: Let us show gratitude by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe.

Luke 10:39-42: She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word.But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Isaiah 29:13-16: This people remove their hearts far from Me and their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote. Therefore I will once again deal marvellously with this people.
God sees my heart.
Isaiah 58:13,14: Call the Sabbath a delight, the Holy day of the Lord desisting from your own ways. Then you will take delight in the Lord.
Revelation 21:22,23 and 27: My body can be a temple of God. There will be no darkness in my life. Nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination or lying shall ever come here.
Matthew 12:36,37: Every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgement. Being careful with the words I speak. Learning to honor God with my words especially in my workplace.
Deuteronomy 8:2: Remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you.
Deuteronomy 8:13,14: when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Being careful that the things of this world do not become my God.
Deuteronomy 8:11-14,16: Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. “In the wilderness He fed you manna which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do good for you in the end.
