All those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Beloved I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh sets it’s desire against the Spirit a and the Spirit against the flesh.
There is a fight but we have the victory.

2 Samuel 3:1
There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David and David grew stronger and stronger and Saul grew weaker and weaker.
We have a long war between the flesh and the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16
Walk by the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.
Tune our heart to the voice of the Holy Spirit and by His power live in the Spirit.
Involves our will, choices, decisions.

Galatians 5:24
Christian life is not passive but we have a role to play, to crucify the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 5:22,23
Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Listen to the voice of the Spirit and be ready to obey Him.

Galatians 5:18
But if you led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
Two things by which we can nullify the activity of the Holy Spirit.

In everything give thanks for this the will of God concerning you, do not quench the Spirit.
Absence of thankfulness, being ungrateful quenches the Spirit. Be grateful to God and what He has given to us.

Ephesians 4:29,30
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.
Gossiping, backbiting, avoid these by listening to the Holy Spirit.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with it’s passions and desires.
God gives me the Holy Spirit to help me to live the Christian life, prompts me to do what I should. We need to listen and obey.

It’s not about others but about judging my heart and to repent.
Need to have the communication lines clear to hear the voice the Holy Spirit.
Respect the Holy Spirit and love it.
